From metropolitan fuel stations, major construction sites and remote mining projects, our tailored systems allow us to meet the most demanding logistical needs.
JLP has partnered with Slipstream to co-invest in the development of a transport technology platform that caters to the bespoke needs of liquid transport. To date, most technology platforms used within the transport industry were generalist or catering to general freight. As a foundation customer, JLP has jointly designed, tested and now operates a business wide Transport Management System (TMS) that seamlessly integrates asset management, human resources, inventory management/stock control, transport scheduling including load planning and profiling, safety & compliance, finance, administration and workshop operations. The system is accessible to our teams in the field allowing us to dispatch delivery instructions and relevant information to our drivers electronically and also receive information from the field such as progress reports, hazard reporting and PODs electronically. The system is flexible and scalable, allowing us to integrate easily with our customer systems improving data control and efficiency of workflows.
JLP equips it’s trucks with the latest safety tech to ensure our operations are running sustainably and all our drivers are protected. This includes live vehicle tracking, vehicle telematics systems, roll stability systems, in vehicle computer terminals providing driver information on routes, permits, site hazards, external cameras and fatigue and distraction monitoring devices. These expensive truck and safety technologies are not a cost to the bottom line, they are an easy investment decision for JLP.
JLP has live performance dashboards in place and regular review points to ensure all aspects of our business are operating seamlessly. This allows us to identify and act upon issues quickly to ensure business continuity and deliver service excellence. Our drivers are amongst the best performers in the industry, reflecting our commitment to attract and retain top talent. We actively monitor driver performance, and deal with underperformance head on to cultivate a culture of continuous improvement. We regularly review our performance as a team – we do this daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly. We identify lessons learnt and apply these, enhancing accountability and operational excellence right across our operations.
